Dodge Charger Commercial

Working with director Leigh Marling, I shot this commercial for the Dodge Charger. With rain being a constant throughout the commercial, we tried our best to shoot as wide as possible to ensure the rain was really believable. It meant a lot of rain, so the simplest wide shot became a huge rain build. I had a great team who worked tirelessly in the rain on this. And thanks so much to Shane Million and Darcy Callahan from Laird FX for bringing the rain.

BVG Berlin Train Commercial

I travelled to Vilnius Lithuania to shoot a German commercial for the Berlin subway and train system. Directed by Chris Woods, this spot reveals the inner working of the BVG backrooms and where all the magic happens. Squirrels that decide which tracks will be delayed, testing how to muffle the voice best for terminal announcements, betting on who will fall on the bus system, and training to slam the bus door properly on customers faces.

We shot in this beautiful old sports and concert venue in central Vilnius. I’m sure full of asbestos. But a beautiful old soviet relic.

Frank + Oak history lesson

I worked with the talented Casey Storm on these funny spots from mens fashion company Frank & Oak. We recreated King Arthur’s Castle, Mozart’s piano room and Lincoln’s final moments. Costumes, hair and art direction were amazing. Thanks to everyone involved.

Interac Holiday Spot

Worked together with director duo Peter Martin on a Interac holiday commercial where the toy store comes to life to warn a customer away from using her credit card. We shot in a very quaint and charming toy store in the small town of Creemore Ontario. Working with only a single version of any one toy, we had to shoot all the toys as plate shots, and then the talented group at Smith took over and made them sing together. Peter and Martin wanted to ensure the spot was cinematic and graphic, so we chose to shoot anamorphic on Panavisino E-series, such incredible timeless lenses.

Adidas Take It Commercial

For Adidas ‘Take It’ campaign, two directors were hired to accomplish a global campaign, shot within a few short weeks. I worked with director Mark Zibert on the european coverage and Washington DC, while DP Chris Blauvelt shot the rest of the US coverage with director Stacy Wall. Lots of fun shooting Messi, Suarez and John Wall.

Rickard’s Red Commercial

Teamed up with director Curtis Wehrfritz to shoot this Rickard’s Red commercial. Shooting with anamorphic lenses, we strove to give this ‘deep’ conversation a very dark and moody tone. Working with liquid stylist Etinenne Proulx and gaffer George Petras, we built specialty battery run LED lighting rigs to keep the beers glowing from any angle.

Campbell’s Commercial

For Campbell’s “We All Soup” commercial, I worked with director Yael Staav, to shoot a commercial that bridges everyone together with the universality of soup. We shot in Lisbon, Portugal where we were able to capture a variety of locations to give the feeling of having travelled the world.

Special K #Own It Commercial

Working with director Mark Zibert, we shot this Special K commercial which asked women to Own It. Shot over three days, we covered a lot of ground, and even made the local newpaper’s instagram account.
